Ecommerce has been the most trending thing in the market since last 5 years. Every single domain is getting digitized, and things are being sold online. From food to medicines everything. Big giants like Tata, Reliance have also jumped in the well to contribute or to fetch their share of water. There are few fields that are still to get captured or entered in. One of such fields is clothing rental app.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is a known fact that all the celebrities wear rented out cloths from designers for big events, and after the event the cloth is returned to the designer. Now the general mass gets attracted to that fancy dress and tries to buy out the same from market, and ecommerce platforms. Now it is understood that it is going to cost them a hefty amount of money.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What if someone launches an application that provides designer clothes on rent at some affordable cost. Don\u2019t you think it is going to be the most trending app? The millennials would use it the most. Whether it is their college festival or some wedding ceremony, from western to traditional all kind of dresses would be in demand.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now the question arises, how to design a clothing rental app? What features should it have? What technology should be used?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We can use hybrid framework for app development, that would have our website, web app, and mobile applications ready in the most cost-effective manner. There are two most used technologies for this purpose and that is React-Native and Flutter.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We go for flutter, why? Read our previous blog. But React-Native is also not a bad choice.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

But don\u2019t go for any other technology.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now the second question arises is that what are some compulsory features that are required for such an application.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

<\/span>What features should the application contain?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00a0Let us list out the features progressively.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Easy Sign In\/up: <\/strong>The sign in\/up should be as easy as possible. Don\u2019t use the traditional method where a very long signup form was presented to the user to proceed. It tends to be a tedious task. Use OTP\/social media, based login instead. Where just a click can get the user inside your app and the user can explore the features.<\/li>\r\n
  2. Informative Home Page: <\/strong>The homepage should be self-informative, and the user should be able to get all the possible information from the homepage itself without having to jump to any other page. Try to contain some great products on the homepage which gets user to get into a chain of products.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    Also, do not forget to have a search bar, which efficiently shows relevant products to user\u2019s search. Less effective search result might result into user loss.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    1. Item Shorting: <\/strong>Do not forget to give your user a facility to short list some products in their wish list. This might get you multiple orders from the user. You can also use this list to send alerts to the user regarding offers and limited stocks to draw their attention.<\/li>\r\n
    2. Easy ordering:<\/strong> Placing order should be as easy as possible. The easier the experience is, the more orders you get.<\/li>\r\n
    3. Order Tracking:<\/strong> Try to give the user track of its order, and delivery should be made as soon as possible.<\/li>\r\n
    4. Easy Come In, Difficult Go Out:<\/strong> This is the most interesting trick. The user should find it easier to login and explore your application. But moving out or deleting account should not be that easy. That is the magical thing about user retention. Try to lure your user with similar products, exclusive offers so that the user finds it difficult to ignore your offer.<\/li>\r\n
    5. Theme:<\/strong> It should have been the first thing we discussed as it is the most important thing. The application theme should be as user friendly as it can be. All the successful applications are successful because they have the best user experience theme wise. So do not dare to ignore this point.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        But this come with a con and that is, it might be tough to have someone of desired technology. Even if you find one, quality might get compromised and you can not say much, because they are doing a favor by doing your task.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
