Inventory Management System
Our customer is a most prominent U.S. based electronic resale business that allows consumers and companies to sell second hand mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other electronics for cash. With scale, the company handles thousands of devices per day on a variety of sources, such as individual sellers, online order, enterprise-bulk buy-back programs, etc. Such an immense transaction volume made it mission-critical to have real-time inventory visibility and operational accuracy in terms of business growth.

Project Overview
The client reached out to TechnoYuga to replace the manual, spreadsheet-based inventory management with a centralized Inventory Management Software that is specific to large-scale electronics trade-in business. We created a single system that links intake, grading, refurbishment, and resale processes and allows real-time tracking of devices as well as automatic reconciliation. The platform minimized errors and speeded up operations and provided a scalable base to meet the volume of transactions and enterprise growth by digitizing processes and increasing team visibility.
Project Objective
- Centralizes inventory data across departments
- Tracks every device throughout its lifecycle
- Reduces manual reconciliation
- Improves operational speed and accuracy
- Supports bulk and enterprise trade-ins
- Prepares the business for long-term scale
Challenges
Fragmented Inventory Tracking
We faced a situation where inventory being monitored in spreadsheets and disconnected tools, making it hard to have one source of truth.
Manual & Error-Prone Processes
The manual data entry and reconciliation resulted in frequent mismatches between the physical stock and the system records, leading to delays and operational confusion.
Limited Visibility Across Teams
Different teams -- intake, grading, refurbishment, and fulfillment -- worked in silos, which slowed down coordination and reduced efficiency.
Scalability Constraints
Enterprise trade-in volumes grew, and the old process could not manage bulk transactions, and there was a risk of lost stock and late payments to the sellers.
